Cookie policy

This website uses as few cookies as possible. We do not place cookies to track you, we do not show advertisements, and our pages contain no social media or maps from other parties.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website places on your computer, tablet or phone. They may be needed to make something work, or they may be used to track visitors. We only use them for the former.

2. Which cookies do we place?

Only one necessary cookie, and only if you use a form.

  • kirby_session — protects the enquiry and contact form against misuse by third parties (a so-called CSRF token). It is only placed once you open a page containing a form. It expires after two hours and contains no personal data.
  • kirby_session (administration) — keeps the administrator logged in to the private administration area. For us only, not for visitors.

That is all: no advertising cookies and no social media cookies.

Visitor statistics (only with your consent)

We use Google Analytics to see how many people visit our site and which pages they read. This only happens after you click Accept; if you choose Essential only, nothing is loaded and nothing is measured. Your IP address is shortened and we do not use the data for advertising.

  • _ga — tells visitors apart, valid for two years
  • _ga_<meet-ID> — keeps track of the visit, valid for two years

3. What do we not use?

  • No advertising cookies and no visitor profiles
  • No embedded Google Maps map — the little map on the contact page is an ordinary image on our own server, created with map material from OpenStreetMap. Only when you click the button do you go to Google Maps.
  • No embedded posts from Instagram or LinkedIn — just ordinary links
  • No fonts or scripts loaded from another server
  • No social media cookies

4. What our server records

Like every website, our hosting provider keeps a technical log of visits (IP address, time, page requested, browser). This is necessary for the security and operation of the server; we do not use this data to track visitors and it is deleted after a short time.

5. Turning off cookies

You can always refuse or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you refuse the cookie mentioned above, you will not be able to use our forms; all other pages will work as usual. You are of course always welcome to call or email us — you will find our details on the contact page.

6. Changes

If something changes on the site that means we start using more cookies, we will update this cookie policy. The current version can always be found on this page.
